Hello! I'm Kristine, owner and maker behind Luna Loon. From Melbourne, Australia.

I'm an artist at heart, it crossed my mind to pursue art when I was in high school but I decided early on I wanted to be a Nurse (no, my filipino parents didn't force me). Nursing is fulfilling, yet my heart finds its joy in creating something new every day.

It all began with a charming moment – while sewing my very first scrunchie my dog Luna sat next to me and rested her chin on my knee, as if suggesting the perfect name for this new venture, Luna Loon (one of her many nicknames). 

My sister had started a small business making polymer clay earrings and helping her at markets sparked a desire to start something of my own. One day after a night shift in June 2021, I started sewing XXL scrunchies, inspired by Tina's YouTube videos at XXL and Co. That's when Luna Loon came to life.

The start of 2023 brought an exciting change – we're expecting a baby! After a break, Luna Loon's online store is back and fully stocked. It's a simple celebration of happiness, creativity, and new beginnings.
